Who are the “guest” players?

If you are referring to those players whose handle is the word “guest” followed by a number, I believe that those are just the names entered/chosen by those individuals when they joined Replay or for their one time name change.
Correct, it is the default option for a new player that wants to play now and choose name later. And some never change that name.
