Official Missions Feedback Thread

brilliant idea can see reeplay is putting a lot of effort in to really help reward our play
goodluck to everyone at the tables

it’s really fun when you play in ring games but when you play in tourney you don’t have mission . Add mission for the tourney was fun ( bad english sry )

HOW do i collect completed misson rewards.thanks

The missions idea is a great one. I’ve played with my eye on the missions a couple of times. I find it difficult to achieve some of the missions, but several are easy to get to. I have played at new tables and made new friends this way. Well done, Replay Poker!

a great site. keep it the way it is and we all will be happy.

If you want some useful feedback, here’s some…

To be successful you have to have at least one of three things: lowest price, best quality, or an exclusive product, which is automatically the best at the lowest price.

The web is full of sites with flashing lights, spinning wheels, fireworks exploding in the background, and other useless “features.” You will never catch up to them in what they do, and you will never do it better. They have had years to perfect what they do.

Your unique selling point is the lack of those irritations. Replay does the clean layout with no gimmicks and no ads better than anyone. That’s your lane, stick with it, and try to do that even better.

Players are less engaged because of your ongoing performance issues, not because they wish they had missions. Anything that requires communication between server-side and client-side introduces lag. You can say the additional time is minimal, but a small step backwards is a step backwards.

One doesn’t fix a problem by making it worse, and it doesn’t matter that they are being handled by different dev teams.

You say this is being play tested. Do you have any idea of the OS/browser/location combinations of your play testers? Did you make an effort to get testers that represent the widest possible sample of these combinations? Or did you just ask a few of your existing volunteers, without knowing if they are an accurate representation of your user base?

Did you consider that finishing a mission and getting a 10 chip reward would be an insult to many players? Can you see that this would be counter-productive?

Consider these questions rhetorical, i don’t want an answer.

Offered in the spirit of constructive criticism.

I am here for the real feel of the hands. It is a fun thing to do with play money. It is addictive in a good way. So the badges and levels and these missions are all just extra distractions. WHICH CAN ADD TO THE FEELING OF REAL POKER! I like them. I try to ignore them so I don’t get tempted into hanging around the table as my chips drain out if I am close to a mission accomplishment. But I can go back and see the hands that got me there and the badges a colorful and the designs are well done. IT IS A GAME PEOPLE! Try to enjoy it.

Judging by the offers, this is clearly meant for beginners, but I thought, what the hell? Why not check it out and share my thoughts. So I did. First, ti doesn’t seem to work. I hit river several times both winning and losing. Never saw credit for that. Hit pocket Ks, no credit. So, to be honest, while it might encourage the new folks, this will only happen if they get the dopamine rush from seeing the results.

Sorry, it’s my second nature to dig for the story. So….

Is this a class thing? I started with @davidppp’s thank-you list of those who provided comments in favor of the Missions. Checked their bankrolls, which ranged from @RUPTINTUR’s 0 chips and @hocutata’s 10 to @D_ash’s 15.2 million chips and @redcloud203’s 11.9 million.

The 24 players who support Missions had a median bankroll of 415,000 chips.

Okay, that left me curious about the players opposed to the Missions. I scrolled through the postings of people clearly opposed to the new feature and checked their bankrolls. These ranged from @lobstahunter’s 2,160 chips and @minnowshark’s 1.16 million to @Craig_Anthony’s 1.2 billion and @unskilld’s 210 million.

Median bankroll for the opposition? It’s 15.1 million chips. Versus 415k for the proponents.

Clearly the players with few chips like an additional source of free chips. And the well-heeled segment of our society aren’t as interested in the handouts.

This leads me to wonder if the Missions could be provided on the low-end tables and excluded from the pricier games.

I agree with dannmann – this is just a gimmick. it is distracting and not necessary. it is a way to induce players to stay in a hand longer than they should, thus losing chips. it does very little to improve a players skill. if you must keep it – and i assume you will – (rp has much time invested in building it) – please make a toggle available so a player may use it or not. . … . . perhaps rp could better invest its time in correcting table lagging and freeze problems.
Thank you,
AL

Nice

I do not feel 10 or 20 chips is enough incentive for me to complete a mission

then why do we call it “missions”? just reward the players instead of inducing them to play.

Wonderful initiative by Replay Poker, made the site more interesting and with more emotion.

Need plenty of patience, but the site is still my go-to.

What’s the point of a mission that the player has no control over eg to be dealt AK twice?
Also in the present format I find it is too distracting.

I saw this on another on line poker site and loved it. I hope it runs well here too

Like all gambling games, luck does play a major role in poker, especially in the short term. Poker is different than any other form of gambling, however. Unlike the other games on a casino floor, poker is a game of skill, and the world’s top pros make money because they’re the best players in the game.

Love the missions, keeps me playing and interested, thanks!

a very good idea…I tried but seems there or me was a problem.
