Nordic Warriors is more than just a poker league to me. It is a place where we can blow off a little steam, its a place where we can come together as friends and play two different games because we love the challenge and at the same time can celebrate our friends triumphs. Nordic Warriors are the good group of friends I’d invite over to the house for a Friday or Saturday night BBQ and poker night. We are a funny little family. We aren’t perfect, but we own up to our mistake and forgive each other for being human. We have never had to kick anyone out of this league and we are always happy to see familiar faces stop by for a random game now and then. So I thank you all for sharing a song, a joke, a passion, for getting behind people when they need our support and love most with out ever needing to be asked.

31 warriors celebrated the end of the work week with a game of Texas Hold’em. Poker is a funny game, if can feel like you are losing every flip, disaster on every river, looking at yourself in last place for most of the evening. But you never stop grinding never stop believing and you look up and you made the final table, then you made the money, then you are on the podium. Never surrender the mark of a Nordic Warrior fit for Valhalla. @timbershot37 was the aggressor all night jamming and raising at all the right times and got the win, @_snowman never stopped believing as his chips ebbed and flowed but he fought valienty to the end and took the lead in the overall category with a 2nd, @southwestmba well you know his story tonight and he got 3rd and moved to 2nd in overall not losing much ground to Norris. @brassband54 was cool and mellow as the chips flew and cards delt their fate and he danced in to 4th with his smooth vibes, and @sue13 brought home some chips for the moms this mothers day weekend. Bless you all for the lession and the game.

Saturday night Thor’s Hammer a smaller than normal field but the fireworks and the excitement was standing room only. Four of the top five on the Omaha leaderboard squared off in the top 5 of this battle. In the end @Excaliburns pulled the sword from the stone and raised raised raised his way to victory and 1st place in the leader board. @Weedwoman420 proved she was hard to kill surviving countless all ins and finishing 2nd and @_Rain rode the waves and surfed in to 3rd.
