No time to do the maths

Hi, I’m just learning how to play poker properly. I want to get good at considering the pot odds and my outs but just don’t have time with the timer ticking down! I barely have enough time to add up all the bets to figure out the pot size. Are people just not doing maths in the games here? Or do you just get super fast at it?

Hi FreqMod,
At the top of the table between the top two seats is displayed the total pot updated as players call raise or fold. Under the community cards is displayed the pot minus the rake. The rest is just practice and experience. Many here do not do any calculations. Hope this helps…
Cheers!

Yeah, you just get used to it. Plus thinking ahead on every street is a good habit.

Being this is a fun free site-you will lose nothing…Just play a lot and you will see how easy it is and in no time you will understand it all…I never read a poker book ( me kind of illiterate ) but i am sure u can get one for beginners that will explain EVERYTHING-including odds and math etc…Just remember, have patience—good luck…

Thanks, i didn’t see that! :person_facepalming:
