Every all-in before flop is BINGO.
Not necesarily. If you hold AA or KK and there are several large bets ahead of your play, then I donât think all in is Bingo, because youâre forcing your opponents to make a decision. If you open the betting with an all in, then thatâs Bingo.
Thatâs exactly how I feel and I just donât understand that most of us learnered individuals in poker fall on deaf ears constantly. Most times I fell that some players post just to post.
Why is that bingo - AK is a boss hand - people holding - if they are - mid to small pr will question going in - AK should be paid off - slow play it yes - but big risk of someone catching flop and now you have a losing hand - many ways to play it - BUT - Again - going all in AK pre flop is not bingo - as said b4 - hoping to catch a middle on your str on the river is bingo.
If youâre in early position, youâre taking a great chance with not having a clue about your opponents hands. If you are facing several opponents, youâll get your a$$ handed to you more than youâll win in the long run. Even if youâre in late position and everyone has limped in, what you will win will be marginal and you wonât win often enough to make it worthwhile.
This guy is a true poker player
Going all in preflop with any cards is bingo, hoping to catch those â Lucky Cards â.

There is a reason you wont see good players/pros using the term bingo to teach good poker strategy. Bingo is just a term made popular by bad players that let there emotions override analytical thinking & strategy.
Truer words never spoken
I like action players but for some reason they have been given new names like Donk or Bingo players, usually they are a great way to double up if you are a good player. In a real casino this would be the person I would buy a cocktail and encourage their play, as I never would bite the hand that feeds me. I would assume this donk/bingo terminology is for online poker used to suppress or enrage action players so you can call for less. In a no limit game calling someone a name for using the tools given them to play only makes you look like the lower-level player. I have seen various results when seeing this name calling tactic used in play.
I agree
But - even if you dont catch you still have good chance of winning - so again - going all in pre flop with AK is not bingo - a player bets through out the game on a good hand - well - AK pre flop is a very good hand - i am not debating the merits of how 1 plays said hand - but again - my whole point from the beginning is - all in pre flop with AK is not bingo - how is it bingo when you have a strong hand ?
Craig - on the reverse side - letting it flop may make your winning hand a loser - big or small cost - now a winning pre flop hand that should of been paid of with something - is now costing you.
Thatâs why itâs called poker, every bet is a gamble.
I agree with you - but the point trying to be made here from me is that - they are saying going all in pre flop with AK is bingo - whereas I am trying to point out bingo is putting high% of chips on the river hoping to catch a middle on your straight - now thats bingo - AK pre flop is a good hand - all in there cannot be looked at as bingo as hoping for a river hit to fill the middle of your straight - 2 very far and different hands - 1 is bingo - 1 is not - lol
I fell it is best⌠playing against players you kind of know their betting style⌠when playing a aggressive you might want to over value your medium hands like 88 or 99 especial if you know they will bet w/ any ace⌠keep notes on player is my advice.
I wouldnât over value. You could get to the river and get crushed.
I wandered off topic, and included my two cents about the term Bingo, I could not agree with you more about AK, if you have 10 blinds left, this is a push hand UTG as shown here,

Thatâs not a free online poker site chart so those metrics donât apply here actually. Big difference in live cash gameâs using that chart but the reality of it all does not apply here on this video poker game site.
letâs ask GTP-3.5 AI, they might know a little more than you.
The odds of making a particular poker hand on a free poker site that takes a rake and a real poker game should theoretically be the same. Poker odds are based on the mathematical probability of drawing specific cards from a standard deck, and these probabilities remain constant regardless of whether youâre playing on a free poker site or in a real poker game.
If you want to argue math, true odds, probable odds, and the curve bring your A game not theories of how people play different on a free site.
