Interesting article about Royal Flushes vs. K high straight flush

But can’t the same thing be said if you hit a royal on the turn and need the 9 to also make the King High Straight Flush? If I hit a Royal I improved my hand and no longer have a King high SF. If the board comes TJQK of diamonds, the odds of getting King high SF and a Royal are Identical. The odds of a 6 or 7 card Straight Flush are much higher but the order of which came first are identical

Some royals can also be K high straight flushes, but if you have a K high straight flush and the ace comes, it’s no longer a K high straight flush. Now it’s a royal.

From the improbable events thread. Getting that 6th card up or down is significantly more rare than getting a royal or a king high Straight Flush.

7 card stud is a classic poker game where the chances of getting a royal flush is 1 in 30,940 hands.

The odds of hitting any five-card Royal Flush are one in 649,000, and getting that sixth card pushes the odds to 1 in 20 million.

^ If you’re wondering if any casino paid out for a 6 card Royal it did happen in 2018 at the Borgata.

The 85 year old winner turned to his wife and said," I just won 1 Million dollars,"

She replied, " You’re full of crap! "

Of course, it’s an unbelievable win,

To top it off, just the day before, his wife had been declared cancer free.

Talk about running good!
