I check raise—BEST weapon in ANY kind of poker:)
Just used my FREE (TY-re-play) weekly 100k ticket n played heads up (sit-n-go) against a guy with a ranking of 501 and he was TOUGH 2 beat—had 2 finally check raise him with my set 2 finally win----BEST weapon in ANY poker game is " check raise".
Just made a Hand Review post about check-raising, and how we should all be doing it more often! Pow Pow!
Players have a really hard time letting go of their hand once they’ve invested in the pot! Conversely, players who overbluff in position will simply be forced to fold often, as much of their range will be air.
Hey nice! I lose all the time to players like you. Mainly i recognize i go to crazy, and my discipline is not all there. If im patient also i can kick ur butt if i dont go crazy, cause more than likely ur not gonna adjust and if i studied i can tell wat type of player u are.
Nice chart! But ur gonna need to fold ur deuce nickels off the button, 92 93 94 Q4 also. 5 % of starting hands hu are a judgement fold(on btn)judgement fold i mean by just, you really know its a beer hand like hand so fold ur 27o also, but can raise any suited cards on button and call most times also. Thats why off btn i only judge to fold everythi g i judge would be a bad starti g hand 20% of tge time, off the button heads up.
did you use voice to text homie? lol

That was April 21st. I just won one to even up at 50-50, so I’m not getting any better, and if I’m working hard to get better and not getting better I’m actually getting worse.
Update: 52-56. I think I’m going to have to try something else. Not sure what, aside from quitting heads-up, but you can’t quit heads-up because if I want to win tournaments I will be heads-up.
I played a HUSnG earlier today. There weren’t a lot of interesting spots, but I’d be happy to discuss anything about any hand or the match in general if that’s helpful. Hands start here: Log In · Get into our Poker Games - Replay Poker
If it is useful at all, I’ll try and find time to play some more a different stakes.
I’m hopeless at this.
I’m doing something horribly wrong because half of the Villains that I face are psychic. They know exactly when I’m strong and when I’m weak. Whenever I have it, he folds and whenever I’m bluffing or semi-bluffing, he calls or raises. Even when I realize that he reads me like a book and change up everything that I do. Wide and aggro and 70-90% of the time he makes the right action, and then I change up and tighten right up and he STILL makes the right action 70-90% of the time.
Half of my wins are either against excessively careless players who all-in every hand or if the players suddenly leaves the table and i call his sitting out. The other half I buttluck a flop or a river and even then, probably 1/3rd of those, Villain comes back and gets me.
I stink at this. I am without doubt, THE WORST active heads-up player on Replay.
Show some spots! It’s really hard to give meaningful feedback based on the kinds of self-statements you’re making here <3
I agree with @Younguru - would love to help you out by providing feedback on your heads-up play, but it’s tough to do so without examples.
I raise with air, smile with aces, and pretend every hand is part of the master plan. It’s not a game of luck. it’s performance art.
So no disrespect to anyone but I just played probably the easiest opponent that I’ve ever faced heads-up. I bet pre, he folded. He got tired of folding pre so he called and I bet the flop and he folded. Then he got tired of folding the flop so he called and I bet the turn and he folded. Then he got tired of folding the turn so he called and I bet the river and he folded. Very rarely he would open or lead and it was an easy fold. He never caught on.
So I had him dead to rights in about 7 minutes and This happened.
Okay, a 3-outer. It happens. I battled back and after a few minutes I had the chip lead again. We went back and forth for a couple of hands and soon I worked up a decent lead again. Then This happened.
I lost. I’m so totally cursed heads-up.
Ok, sweety… but heads up is about being
Aggressive. On the button preflop, raise 80 percent,
Call 15 percent, fold 5 percent. On big blind call 80
Percent, fold 20 percent… so like in 20 hands this
Is standard. Note that if you get 3 bet a lot, 4 bet.
And if you get 4 bet a lot, start shoving with 99+
And AK. The name of the game is to see a plethora
Of flops heads up, so make someone pay to see
The flop. If youre playing someone who is passive,
You are going to win unless you go crazy…
My advice to you for your opponents who fold
A lot is.. reraise them every chance you get.
I F … an opponent is limping in every time he is
On the button… he is a passive donkey… when
Youre on the button with these types of players
DO NOT make c-bet flops and do give up post flop…
He can get away with bluffing, but dont worry
About that. The passive heads up player will most
Likely call his draws and will not fold. So… make thin
value bets. If he bets, fold. Do not bluffs this type
Of fish. So… hope this helps. Theres much more
Skills to it than what i typed. Just ask for any
Advice and i will try to help… have fun!
also, i saw your replays… dont go crazy against passive players, ever. "that’s poker,
folks!" -doyle brunson
You awwwww forgot the MOST important one—play the player------If u do not know them or how they play—after a few hands you should—unless your felted:).
Heads-up is HARD!
I’m getting a lot better. I have to go recount, but at last update I was 52-56. I just beat a guy up twice (he pro endorsed me for it too) and I’m somewhere around 130-110.
A few weeks back I went back to that Doug Polk article and read it through every word like 3 times. The article mainly dwells on the ranges and sizings, which are important, but it also mentions something more important - adjusting to the opponent. When he catches on to what you are doing, he adapts and we must counter-adapt. That is the most important thing that I find so far.
Most players in full tales don’t adapt much, but even bad players in heads-up get tired of folding to aggression and start 3-0betting. Then we can set traps and such. Then we can nit out for a bit and when we bet again, he takes it seriously and can’t read us. All kinds of stuff like that.
