Please, undelete me, let me go
Cause you don’t love me anymore
To waste my words would be a sin
Undelete me and let me speak again
I have found a new love, dear
I long to whisper in her ear
Her lips are warm while yours are cold
Undelete me, darling, let me go
Please undelete me, can’t you see
Magic rivers drowning me
Thoughts vanish by a heavy hand
Undelete me, and let me love again

He is the Modern man (secret secret I’ve got a secret)
Who hides behind a mask
So no one else can see
His true identity
He’s not a robot without emotions. He’s not what you see
He’s come to help you with your problems, so we can be free
He’s not a hero, He’s not the saviour, forget what you know
He’s just a man whose circumstances went beyond his control
Beyond his control. We all need control
I need control. We all need control
Thank you very much, Mr. Roboto
For doing the jobs that nobody wants to
And thank you very much, Mr. Roboto
For helping me escape just when I needed to
Thank you, thank you, thank you
I want to thank you, please, thank you
He’s Kiljoy! Kiljoy! Kiljoy! Kiljoy!

Leaglese.
Well, I heard some people talkin’ just the other day
And they said you were gonna put me on a shelf
But let me tell you I got some news for you
And you’ll soon find out it’s true
And then you’ll have to eat your lunch all by yourself
‘Cause I’m already gone
And I’m feelin’ strong
I will sing this vict’ry song, woo, hoo, hoo, woo, hoo, hoo
The letter that you wrote me made me stop and wonder why
But I guess you felt like you had to set things right
Just remember this, my girl, when you look up in the sky
You can see the stars and still not see the light

The Sound of Silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
No one dare
Disturb the sound of silence
“Fools” said I, “You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said “The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence”
Is this the Gong Show lol

A brother bleeds, another blames, the mother for the labor pains
fresh from sowing, seeds the growing, monster child now contains
Well now on a summer night in a dusky room
Come a little piece of the Lord’s undying light
Crying like he swallowed the fiery moon
In his mother’s arms it was all the beauty I could take
Like the missing words to some prayer that I could never make
In a world so hard and dirty so fouled and confused
Searching for a little bit of God’s mercy
I found living proof

I’m not getting the thread name and the correlation to your posts because Engelbert Humperdinck was a German Composer who wrote Hansel und Gretal.
From the posts I think that most feel the same way.
So what is this thread about ?
Engelbert Humperdinck (singer)
From Wikipedia
Not to be confused with the nineteenth century composer, Engelbert Humperdinck (composer).
Engelbert Humperdinck (born Arnold George Dorsey; 2 May 1936) is an English pop singer. has been described as “one of the finest middle-of-the-road balladeers around.”[1] His singles “Release Me” and “The Last Waltz” both topped the UK music charts in 1967, and sold more than a million copies each.[2] In North America, he also had chart successes with “After the Lovin’” (1976) and “This Moment in Time” (1979). He has sold more than 150 million records worldwide.

Well that really cleared up my question about what the thread is about.
Thanks …
The lovely wife and I saw the movie Wonder a few days ago. It is very good.
I was thinking of the thousands and thousands of people playing poker here on Replay…And the fact the the vast majority never utter a word.
How odd that is.
Other than the obligatory NH & TY, most of the people on Replay have decided they would rather not risk talking with the people on Replay.
Why?
I think the answer to that question might be illuminating.
But please don’t answer here. I would prefer this thread remain open.
I have the answer to that question. Did you ever think that there may be a huge network of thousands of people that correspond through email, text, or other social media platforms so no one can tell who is communicating with whom here ?
That might be illuminating!
I thought any member of the site could post in any thread ? I’m sure I read it in the forum posting rules.
Let me ask to make sure.
Hope you and the wife enjoyed the movie
PS. So what is this thread about again ?
Head East, Young Man.
Did you see any action, did you make any friends?
Would you like some affection before I leave again?
I been walkin’ behind you since you been able to see
There’s never been any reason for you to think about me
Did you have any bad dreams, did you break any glass?
Would you be my companion, is there even a chance?
You been talkin’ in circles since I been able to cry
There’s never been any reason
For never tellin’ me why, yeah, he
Have you ever been lonely, do you have any fun?
Do you ever think of me? I’m just another one, yeah
You never give me no answer, you never tell me the truth
There’s never been any reason for me to think about you
The Boss
At first I thought it was just restlessness
That would fade as time went by and our love grew deep
In the end it was something more I guess
That tore us apart and made us weep
I’m driving a stolen car
Down on Eldridge Avenue
Each night I wait to get caught
But I never do
Got it. Another song thread.
Thanks for the hint.

(otherwise known as Elvis, who I should have placed first in this thread)
The sad sack was a sittin’ on a block of stone
Way over in the corner weepin’ all alone.
The warden said, “Hey, buddy, don’t you be no square.
If you can’t find a partner use a wooden chair.”
Let’s rock, everybody, let’s rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin’ to the Jailhouse Rock.
Shifty Henry said to Bugs, “For Heaven’s sake,
No one’s lookin’, now’s our chance to make a break.”
Bugsy turned to Shifty and he said, “Nix nix,
I wanna stick around a while and get my kicks.”
Let’s rock, everybody, let’s rock.
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin’ to the Jailhouse Rock.
Dancin’ to the Jailhouse Rock
Dancin’ to the Jailhouse Rock
Dancin’ to the Jailhouse Rock
Dancin’ to the Jailhouse Rock
Dancin’ to the Jailhouse Rock…

Thank you for electing us
We appreciate your trust
There’s a problem we’re aware
That many of your children share
But we’ve developed new techniques
The process takes about two weeks
It’'s based upon electroshock
A daily dose of microwatts
And when we’re through with what we do
We’ll ship the begger back to you
And then he’ll be as good as new
Doctor says I’m almost fine
And they’ll let me out in time
I’m a very stubborn case
And my tapes not quite erased
No, no, no
No, no, no
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they’ll listen now
For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left in sight
On that starry, starry night
You took your life, as lovers often do
But I could’ve told you Vincent
This world was never meant for
One as beautiful as you
Starry, starry night
Portraits hung in empty halls
Frame-less heads on nameless walls
With eyes that watch the world and can’t forget
Like the strangers that you’ve met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
The silver thorn of bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now I think I know
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they’re not listening still
Perhaps they never will

“Vincent”
And when the broken-hearted people
Living in the world agree
There will be an answer
Let it be
For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer
Let it be
