whats ur in game account name? and how much bankroll do u have currently? i cant see any account with name ‘flyinghigh111’ …

My account is -flyinghigh-, ‘flyinghigh111’ was an old account that I deleted… no idea why I’m posting under that name. I have close to 0 chips at the moment although I’ve been over 100 million at some points and have been on a bad downstring for at least 8K-10K hands; my bankroll management is terrible and it’s my fault for losing all my chips. Mentioned this near the beginning of this post, though this isn’t really about me personally. I’m sure I’ll be back up soon though!

From July the first (tomorrow) we start with two new ranking lists.

For the MTTs, new: Ranking List - MTT Millionaire’s Club

Starts July 1st (tomorrow) to December 31th, any multi-table tournament with a buy-in of 1 million play chips or greater qualifies.

The earned tournament points in the 1M buy-in tournaments also count for the monthly mtt leaderboard - high.

Changes for the SnG schedule from July 1st.

For the monthly SnG leaderboard - Medium the SnGs will have a buy-in of 10K, 25K and 50K
For the monthly SnG leaderboard - High the SnGs will have a buy-in of 100K, 250K and 500K

And also a new ranking list, starts July 1st to December 31th, named: Ranking List - SnG Millionaire’s Club

and takes into account SnG tournaments featuring a buy-in of 1M, 2.5M and 5M.

Have fun!

Any chance of adding a few High stakes Royal tourneys. 7.5 I believe is the highest one now?

Thanks for your suggestion!

Indeed most of the Royal tournaments have a small buy-in and i can imagine that regular Royal tournament players want to play for more chips after a while.

Are more players interested in higher buy-in Royal tournaments? And would you play if the buy-in is 15K or 25K?

Feedback of the regular Royal players is welcome!

2 years later, just seeing if there will be any increases in the buy-ins for Royal tournaments, they havent changed and everyone has a lot more chips these days, I still think , 25k-100k buy ins would make players play less carefree and there wouldnt be as much all-in preflops… I know i would join any stakes royal and hope to see high stakes ones for a change of play style.

I second that.

Count me in !

Suggestion: Just like how there is a monthly Bust the Staff! tournament on a particular day each month…maybe Replay Poker should have ONE 10M buy-in NLH event every month on, say, the last Monday of the month (to avoid conflicts with the other nosebleed events: the 2.5M events on Saturdays and the 5M events on Sundays). Have it take place at like 3 PM (EST) or something reasonable for most regions. And for all the other Mondays of the month, have one satellite each week at like 3 PM (EST) with a 250K or 500K buy-in (no rebuy, no addon) in which ONLY the winner gets a ticket to the 10M event. So, you’d have 3 or 4 satellite winners each month + your regular high stakes MTT grinders to where someone might win a 9-figure first place prize.

Yes, I made that mistake. I built up my bankroll from zero to 500 million over 3 years exclusively by playing tournaments, starting at low levels and then moving up to the most expensive tournaments to enter, however I have reached a kind of break even stalemate in tournaments, because the $1 million tournaments tend to have about 30 players, so the prize money is insufficient to make a big profit unless you have a streak of first and second places. I think my best ever result was winning three 1 million chip tournaments on the trot, but I have never replicated that.

Recently I tried playing in ring games, and yes I found that you could build your stack much faster. I have gone from 500 million to 550 million in 2 weeks. Paradoxically the higher blind ring games are easier. The reason for this is that in the lower games, like when you have a starting stack of half a million or 1 million, almost every single player employs a strategy of extreme limp-call, so even if you have a good starting hand and put in a meaty raise preflop, you may get called by five players who previously limped, so it is very difficult to win enough pots with bluffs.

In the higher stake games, it is easier to get one-on-one against an opponent, which is the best situation to be in.

However I should add that the strategy and style of play is completely different between tournaments and ring games, because in ring games you are always playing with a deep stack, and in tournaments your stack becomes progressively more shallow as the blinds increase. So it is like two different games.

I don’t think a 10 million chip entry tournament would work at this time, because even the 5 million chip entry does not have enough entrants. It is tough going if you are playing against the best tournament players on Replay Poker, and you make it to fourth place, and you don’t even get your money back! Even if you win you only get about 50 million chips, which is only 9 entries plus your buy-in.

Exactly why I suggested starting your own table if you feel the need to exceed but you are not going anywhere fast.

I started this site with 10k chips, rookie tournaments and daily freeroll built me upto my first million.

I’m around 28 million now from holiday events and very little ring games. 2k/4k I can have 5 million swings.

I’m happy with the limits but would try higher buyin tournaments.

Omaha high low and stud high low.
