to be sure, it was as i told Whit, the first sixteen players out…half, eight we Rens. And by the way nice to here you say Z that I am not one of the good players. Gee thanks, LOL. XD
PS I think we are all good players. Bad luck happens.

Maybe the Pirates need a new name…how bout Patriots!!! Heck you can use most of the same letters.

Well just, not what it said, it said those out were the better players compared to me.

Are we to use this as our shirt now or is it simply a cool looking Pirate art piece?

@funlovenit2 You can use it if you like for a shirt, it’s up to you, you and the team earned it!

Been looking to sue whoever gave them bugs helmets, such a noise.

I remember when I first stated in this league, everyone played really tight before first break.
The object as I was told was to get to the points.
Now we have some power style poker happening early, this is a recipe for crushing the game or getting no points at all, live fast die hard, I like playing either game, I actually enjoy the mix. but there are consequences for trying too hard against seasoned veterans of team play. We know who the veterans are, like @StraightStyle, @Despina11 @SharonSmarty, @Rainman772 I won’t list them all, but the stats on my LB prove my point.
The most important thing is that we all have fun.
Play fast play slow, play your game but if you want to win play as a team with a common goal, Points! are the end goal. All the teams have great players, and I am proud to be a part of this league.

Dang, and I didn’t even know, points? You would think the “know it all’s” would have told me by now.

Having fun is the number one goal. And those of us who keep coming back must be having fun! I know I am even tho I rarely get any points. My stats on those pages you keep probably tell you that. But what they don’t tell you is how many opponents that player knocks out, or how many teammates they may save. Those teammates often make the points because they were helped. Besides, as one of the Cons said couple of nights ago at the table, “not chasing is boring”. I can only assume that SS had scolded her team and reminded them of how she would like them to play. Play as careful as you want to, I will keep my style cause I have fun doing it. Mostly I play my cards, and if they look good, I will continue to play them agressively, win or lose. But I bet I give chips to team and knock out a few Pie Rats again next game . Have fun!

I agree with you , takes a team to get mates to the points . Win or lose it is fun trying to get there . I don’t know what con you are referring to and I don’t care because I don’t scold my team .

Was excited to be able to score some points for my team and make the final table in my second league tourney last night. My first effort on Sunday was disappointing to me when I failed to make the top half. As someone just coming in I was quite surprised with how much different the play in the league is compared the site in general. I quickly discovered I was going to need to make adjustments to my style of play. In a multi-table or full table SnG on the site I could play tight but know that if I was dealt a high pair or caught a straight or flush at the flop I could likely count on getting calls to a healthy raise from a soft hand or two that were essentially free chips. Those are a lot tougher here. Appreciate the overall level of play so far and glad to be on board.

@just_if_eyed love your sarcasm, bet you’re a hoot at your local gas station bar. There are new players “many as of late” in this league, some might want some advice. The league can be set up to show bust outs, but that’s not what Sharon does here, she promotes team play not individual, and as far as your comment about folks getting chips that get them to the points, that’s a real Einstein moment, statistically the same people that score the most points pass the most chips, I know this because I pass a ton of chips and a bit of a numbers nerd, I have also received plenty as well, last knight it was @southwestmba that fed me chips while he was crushing the game, so that when his cards went cold I could go on to catch my rush and win the game, you don’t have to be a brained sturgeon to play this game but some math skills are helpful. When I started playing in this league, I noticed right away the best player were giving away the most chips, pretty simple math, if you scroll back far enough in the forum, I wrote about that very same thing. Commending the veterans of team play for their stack sacrifices to raise all boats. I molded myself after @StraightStyle in the team play environment he is one of the best! The Pirates are full of a mix of talented players, short game, long game, heads up specialists. The Pirates win because we are able to sacrifice ourselves for the team, this is the biggest obstacle for a poker player that has been playing for themselves their whole life to overcome, if I crush the game early, I will stake 4 or 5 teammates even if it takes me back to par, because seeing one or two of them making final table is my kind of fun. I started playing poker in 1982, I have seen and played against every style of poker player in my years, I was merely trying to give some helpful advice, not trying to insult anyone or direct it at any individual. As for your points, you are 16th out of 100 players in overall points this year, that’s great numbers, don’t sell yourself short.
You may not be as good looking as I am, but you can kind of play poker.

Welcome.
I haven’t been on the team long and it does take some getting used to. The one table we were on together, you played well. I look forward to more.
