I am here to develop skill in all the poker disciplines
While I find Holdem a little boring, I enjoy the rest and hope they add more
like maybe Razz
I don’t see it as a social site but am usually friendly toward other players
The competition is fun but would like to see a way of reducing the bingo play as it
detracts from actual tourney play
Once you hit 10 mill or more the chips are just to keep score in the competition
To improve my skill playing poker.
I am here to primarily develop my skills as poker player, but also to to study behaviors and approaches of other players, as I am a psychiatrist by profession, and poker has been a tried and tested method to getting into the inner motives of an action. Its fun, constructive and interactive! However, its always great chasing down leader boards and bankroll targets, and my target for this month is to lead the tourney points balance in the MTT Holdem LB Leader board, wish me luck!!
I see most respondents choose 1 of the topics. To me there are three which sums up why I think Replay is the best online poker site, besides the brilliant layout and fantastic staff response times to queries. First, fun and friends for sure. I chat to fellow players from all over the world and feel like some are dear friends even though we have never met. As a lonely widower I cannot picture a day of my life without replay in it. Secondly, skill. I have played poker often through the years, and playing against diverse players world wide has increased my skills level tremendously. And at no cost! There are even many WSOP and other online money players that use replay to hone their skills, and where else can one test your skills and improve it by getting free lessons from pros? Thirdly, competition. Being from South Africa, the formula for leaderboard positions favor USA based players as midnight here is early evening there, and whereas when I play the average entrants are between 40 and 60, whereas the average otherwise exceeds 100 regularly. But it is still fun, and I enjoy just making leaderboards against the odds.
Great site Replay, please keep it up.
I would put B Fun & Friends on top. While it is great to win, some people are so fun to play with, that they make even losing fun and instructive. I love this site for all the awesome people I have had the pleasure of playing with, including moderators who occasionally I find at the table, are chill and encouraging.
C. I’ve definitely found that playing online helps improve my skills when I’m at a money game. While I get a little frustrated with the small number of players that play it loose every hand (all ins on junk, etc.), these folks never last. Lessons I learn here pay dividends elsewhere.
Just to pass time for me, it’s an extra bonus if the software decides to choose me as a winner. No point talking about skill, that’s achieved in the casino.
I love the competitive nature without the loosing the house aspect. This is a learning fun experience you can’t get on a table.
to bankroll build and I enjoy the chat
Trying to be skillful gives excercise to the brain. Also this community atmosphere I like.
games are great and trying to win but you never know ???
well said
Something related to C but not exactly. I play poker to know more things about me. How I react to events that may occur in a poker table. How I can control my own feelings when cards appear in the table. Poker teachs me the importance of luck and how can I manage it and to control greed, ambition and patience.
A B C D AS WITH ANY NOTE ON MY GUITAR THEY ARE ALL VERY IMPORTANT TO ME DITTO POKER
i really enjoy playing poker especially omaha hi lo in tourns havent found another site like this plus im retired and it really makes my day

This contest is now closed! Results to come shortly.
This contest was one of our favorites ones yet! We loved reading what your primary goal is when playing online poker – especially as many of you had such thoughtful responses.
Although quite a few of you had reasons that weren’t listed, such as thrills or a distraction from “real life,” we tallied up the included options and this is what we found:
Bankroll Building - 5
Fun & Friends - 36
Skill - 27
Competition - 13
When playing poker online, most of you just want to have fun and chat with the friends you can make all over the world! Honing your skills wasn’t too far behind, but most of you aren’t quite as concerned with the number of chips you have in your bank, compared to the other options. It’s nice to have that as a side effect of bettering your game, though!
As usual, I entered all participants into a spreadsheet and used random.org to generate our winners.
Congratulations to the following players!
@InMyDay
@lbert1262
@allm
@FatnSassy
@narench
I’ve added 100,000 chips to each of your accounts.
Thanks to all for playing, and once again to @Maya for the submission! We have another player contest coming up next month. Don’t hesitate to PM me on the site if you have an idea for another contest!
