skilled, thats why we are playing poker right?
I have to say A, because if I play A, I get B, C, and D, how about a P for passion, think about it,
Have to go with B good manners. I used to screw with peeps to get a rise out of them and muck up their game. Then someone did that to me and I got upset and it affected my game. I respect players who have good manners. Them other ones, well, meh. LOL
Good manners - cut the chatter, and just play. Like playing with POKER players! I know we were all rookies once, but try to play an intelligent game. Some great players out there! Sometimes hard to find, but still, a lot of fun!
folks that are fun to talk to … although this is a rarity because I’m usually muted ,om mani padme hum
Good play speed - good manners
I enjoy the endless amount of free chips you all give me. Tournament play is where I mostly go to kill time
Played on POGO and find this site more fun with less talking coming form someone that types slow.
I appreciat skills, for I can learn of it.
I don’t care about manners.
Not hardly…a real pro congratulates winner…while hoping he continues his play…
You are right. Should have said people who think they are pros. They prove they’re not by rude comments because they lost a hand.
Great Question! I wish I had the time to read all the great, thoughtful responses. Good manners really make the difference at the table for me and I think warmness comes with the good manners. Its great to see the skilled players shine, but since I’m so novice they almost always bust me out lol so not my favorite part of it… but respected (and love it when the skilled players give me helpful hints and tips); there are times when quietness is helpful, like when I’m multitasking, and when I’m multitasking I’m not able to respond at the table and then I feel rude, but don’t mean to be. Humor makes the time go by fast at the tables but can distract my play and then I make mistakes… All that being said I am so grateful for Replay, thank you, Team Replay! and its such a great way to unwind after a hard day of work… and its FREE! yay! How often do you find something so great that costs you nothing?
Thanks again for the great question! Good luck at the tables, all!
I enjoy being a little chatty at times as long as its clean and professional. I also enjoy playing against skilled players who challenge me. I really cant stand those who play ‘bingo’ or ‘lottery’ poker…if you wish to see all the cards, just keep calling every bet and raise, eventually you’ll get to the see all the cards. LOL thanks for taking the time to check this out
Play poker like an animal:
Be As quiet as a mouse
As ferocious as a tiger
As sly as a fox
As wise as an owl
As brave as a lion
As slippery as an eel
And always remember,
Pigs almost always get slaughtered!
Among the 4 choices I would have to rank them in this order.
- Skill (as competition is what makes a game fun for me)
2 Warmth / Good Manners, are 2nd as both encourage good sportsmanship. No matter the skill level of the player, it is more enjoyable to play with considerate and respectful folks.
Quietness, hmm, I don’t know, I think that just makes you forgettable.
Friendliness, courtesy, good humor, no anger or bad sportsmanship. No bad language. An open understanding that some of us are just playing for fun and it is just a game. (I do dislike those perpetual bluffers who outbid all, causing you to fold, then don’t show what they beat you with. Part of the game, but annoying to me.)
I am very new too poker; starting in June of this year. During my experience with replay poker, I think that quietness is a very strategic quality. When one is quiet; it is hard to get a read on the individual. You don’t know if he/she is aggressive, passive, loose, tight, etc. One can say you can figure it out how one plays the game, but in my experience that hasn’t been the case. I do like the other qualities because what’s the point of playing poker if you are not having fun. Trash talking (appropriate language of course), socializing with other players, and letting everything go in the world is what makes poker fun. However, like someone always say to me; the quiet ones are the ones that needs to be watch the most!
I am fairly new to online poker, but what I like so far is meeting some great friendly folks and I like those who are skilled because I am learning a lot from them.
A Warmth. Poker isnt chess, a game solely reliant on skill. It isnt black jack either, one dependent on sheer luck. Rather it is a game of passion and psychology. It is a game reliant on you knowing your opponents well. How they think, what makes them tick, what pushes their button, etc. I have played with quiet players, I have played with obnoxious ones also, but the ones I like the most are talkative ones who arent mean. I dont like playing poker with robots. I love a lovely chatter. I love friendly jabs. I like people who make the game more lively.
I think “B” is the one thing I appreciate most. I really appreciate good sportsmanship and try to practice it myself. I also appreciate players that don’t understand the finesse of betting and go “all in” all the time time. They regularly help me increase my chips. On my list of things I do not appreciate are slow players that let the clock run out regularly. They constantly bring the game do a crawl.
A, We need to remember that this is a free site, and we all put our pants on the same way. Meeting nice people from different areas of the globe. How can you top that? I don’t think the site is here to make you or I a better player. Just fun. Have fun, and Be Kind! Oh, and smile.
