Anyone folding here?

Here (fun site) i am calling—REAL cash game i am folding.

Logically, it would continue to be aligned and maximized towards your nearly completed goal of

1 billion chips.

Why even consider a change of your past, successful, situational play strategies at this point,

so close to completing your goal?

Possibly, you simply wish to linger and savor the moment.

As you approach the final moments, the finish line is in sight.

IMO you made good/bad bet PF, but at this point it also gives your hand away to me, from the field that size of bet makes me think you have AJ or better.
It’s late in the game bubble is coming, for me once the other big stack calls me, I am ranging him in a pocket pair or K+ or better in hand, second caller unknown, flop comes small pocket pair dangerous, but giving you lots of outs against pocket pair or even a set if he hit, he goes all in I have to decide, do I risk this game with all the outs I have or wait for a better opportunity to double up, payout for game is 12 mil for 1st so I fold.
Scenario #2 I shove pre flop if he decides to call outcome is same, but he would have to think about it, more than when he was able to see the flop, when his hand value went way up.

you know I think it sounds kinda kamikaze but I definitely was like “what if I just shoved pre?”

worth a thought. may actually be lower variance in this spot as he really won’t want to call with anything but very top of range. thanks for your input _R

i have been pondering such spots lately, where there is an option to either “play it straight” as it were or just go huge and say “if you have top of range i am dead, but if you don’t i bet you won’t call”

@Excaliburns August was my best month yet; September I have barely profited. So I am considering some final tweaks. No savoring until there is something to savor!!

This is not my final form… I can still play better…

In my case too, poker isn’t interesting unless I’m trying to improve some part of my game. And there are still a million things to improve.

I think the amount of equity we have here is being slightly underestimated. Villain is also going to have some combo draws we’re actually in pretty good shape against, and I agree that sets won’t often play this way. I believe we have at least 50% equity, and if you can add some non-combo flush draws to that (KJcc, KTcc, etc), then it’s approaching 60%. If they are ever leveraging their stack and/or the significant advantage they have on that board to bluff with air, we’re going to have more than that.

It’s still close of course, I just don’t agree with the conclusion that this should be a fold. I think it’s fine to call or fold and it doesn’t really matter much what you do. I’d rather have AcQc here than KK though, so if you’re going to have any calls at all, this has to be one of them.
