Maybe add a ā€œTrophies Caseā€ for the MTT players? Create a trophy for each named MTT and award that trophy to the winner of that particular tournament. Multiple wins could be designated by adding starts to the trophy - 1 for each win after the 1st. Replay could also create trophies for each promotion and award them in the same way. Win the Astral Pegasus, get a trophy. Win a promotion like the Winter Games, get a trophy. IMO, it would be a nice way for players to keep track of their wins and maybe increase participation in some MTT’s as people try to fill up their trophy case.

I think this would be an easy way to substantially add to the Achievements page without having to come up with new challenges. You could even ask users to submit designs for the trophies and select the best ones. This would increase user involvement in a constructive way.

There are some great ideas here. I like the idea of having different levels of achievements. I won one when I won my 10th MTT, but would be nice to multiple levels of that one. As it is, I’ve completely lost track of how many MTTs I have won, lol.

One challenge I made for myself and achieved (though there are no achievements currently for this) is winning a MTT of each game type (Hold’em, Royal, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo). I challenged myself to win a freeroll of each type and a buy in tournament of each type. Those could be 2 separate achievements. You could do the same thing with SNGs. I could also see winning a leaderboard as an achievement. If nothing else, these types of achievements might encourage new players to play something new and learn more about everything offered on the site. I see players playing in tournaments or promotions who have no idea there is a leaderboard and once they learn how it works, I often see them play more.

I think I would pay more attention to other players achievements if they were more challenging and they could give me an idea of how good the player is. I know many good players whose bank is not a good reflection of how good they are. If I don’t know a player and look at their profile, I could look at their achievements and see they’ve won more than 50 MTTs or something like that, it would give me a better idea of the person I am playing. It might also keep long-time players interested in the achievements and pursuing new goals. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I haven’t looked at the achievements for a long time. Got most when first started.

How about a high hand prize for ring & tournament games. Could be every hour or at certain levels in a tournament.

That would also make a great contest. The old ā€œDesign a Trophyā€ contest!

Hi puggywug,

I might be getting this wrong but I think you can calculate that showdown info you’re after from the available stats. You already know how many showdown wins you have, plus total hands played, pots won and total folded. Therefore, showdowns lost = total hands played - (hands folded + pots won).
Basically, if you didn’t win or fold, that means you lost at showdown.

The MTT Trophy, or Weekly, Monthly, Annual Leaderboard trophies are good ideas.

I believe I hit all available achievements, so chips are the only feature that recognizes current play. Just under $10M.

Perhaps multiple achievements beyond the first 2222 and so on. Or new achievements based on winning tournaments, or ring game wins and so on.

Would liked to see enhanced statistics, suck as breakout by game (Omaha Royal No Limit). Perhaps achievements based on statistics as well.

So I dont pay attention to them anymore either. Done them all except friends. Maybe indicate multipal winnings. or continued days logged in , Biggest loser would be an easy one for me to win.

I mentioned there was no award for a Royal flush, One of those takes some achieving.

Those awards don’t mean a thing to me. I look at them . I’m here to help pass the time and try to find a few friendly people to chat with.

I’ll bet the achievement badges are treasured and well received by the newbies and younger players who are accustomed to participation trophies and such. If that lends them some excitement, I’m all for it.

But I think we all reach a point where it’s the RPP Level that is our true level of achievement. We’re given a rank, but rank is based on chips, and chips can be bought. The RPP level is based on slogging through hand after hand, game after game. I’m a 25, a Rounder, I’ve ground it out a while. I feel disappointed that 50 is the end of the road. Champion? I guess so, but why not 60, 80, 100 and beyond?

That may be… I think it should be displayed on the page for me, rather than having to figure it out.

As a fairly new player, I play like I am using my own $. Maybe an achievement of some kind for that. Have played with some players who play like its free $, so it doesn’t really matter how they play.

I used to play on another site that gave special awards that you could collect and display at the table next to your avatar. Most of these were crowns for various promotions, but there were other things too. The special ones were only available by winning them in competitions.

They also sold various do-dads and thingies you could put next to your avatar at the table. The bational flags were popular, as were the national soccer balls. You could also buy things like jets, sports cars, yachts, and so on if you were willing to spend the chips. This was one of the ways they fought chip inflation.

Most players ebded up with quite a few of these things, and you could open a ā€œcollectionsā€ window, scroll through your stuff, and select one to display. People love to collect things and show off their collections. It might be worth considering.

Fair enough. Anyway, you’re welcome for the suggestion. :upside_down_face:

  • What do you like?
i love the lobby its easy to navigate and clear, its true poker without the random stuff
  • What do you not like?
the dashboard - it should be like netlfix and your own bank home page. i go to my dashboard only to scroll to the bottom to click on community topics as is the only way i know how to get to the forum - the rest is not relevant - use this space to tell me on what promos i a missing out on based on my past behavior - show me my stats this page its my dashboard so it should be all about me and what interests me
  • What is missing?
gamification - when i first joined I liked the badges then after a week i got bored I got nothing from it, would be good to give chips associated with achievement. for example win your first MTT get xx. get places in your first royal game, win xx MTT`s get xx chips - win a monthly leader-board, take all of tiggys chips (if i get a commision )

create an end of week or end of month champions tourney - where x amount of leaders on each leader-board go to platy each other - also repeat this for a yearly champions tourney

leader boards for free Rolls - number of tickets and also points

improved effort for promos spring and summer same old and has gone on and on for so long - bust the staff has a massive uptake, i often miss it because i forget

  • What is available but should be removed or reworked?
the forum is not easy to navigate and think it ts not in line with current social media trends - i only came across this post my chance and I play every day so how are other people seeing this and other posting

bring back the announcements of players just won an MTT - its good to see your name in lights

Tiggs xx

forgot to add does anybody no what badges they mean - i hand on heart remember called Loan wolf no idea what it is

also forgot to add if you achieve XYZ is a given time then allow a discount buy in for certain tourneys

Chip count just because you have millions and your rank is high does not make you an achiever - create a programmers that rewards skill

and finally how about giving out a once a quarter a special achievements award - for example player who lost the most chips in 24 hours (it was a great achievement some months back 400 Mil) only kidding I mean Replay really knowing there players and Replay deciding what and who - but short term go for the 400 mil loss idea

I wanted to applaud the idea of a trophy case - something visible to all from the profile page - where one could see all the Winter Games medals, leaderboard victories, other merited achievements. That would be really cool.

If there would be a way to do this retroactively, bahia7’s trophy case would probably break the site, but she’s earned it, so - worth the risk.

I like the idea of a trophy case because I know I’ve lost track of my own wins , but also, if you could see some of a player’s accomplishments on their profile, it would tell you something about the player. All you can really tell now is how long they have been on the site and how many chips they have. I could see where lots of trophies might be hard to show on the page though. I propose having a ā€œTrophy Pageā€ link on the profile where a chart shows all possible trophies (MTT wins for each game type, Promo Wins, Monthly Leaderboard Wins, Weekly Leaderboard Wins, Regional Leaderboard Wins, etc) as the number of times you have done each. You can do the same kind of breakdown for SNGs, list the promotions individually, etc. This kind of thing would allow a player to set their own goals based on what they have or haven’t yet accomplished. Just an idea
