RTC Round 2: The Plot Thickens
If Round 1 set the tone, Round 2 cranked the volume. The pressure was up, the field was dialed in, and every chip mattered. With two of four qualifying rounds now complete, the leaderboard is taking shape, and it’s a tight one at the top.
Once again, One Eyed Jacks & The Man with the Axe showed why they’re the team to beat. Another 133 points brings them to 269 overall. Steady, clinical, and focused, they aren’t just surviving, they’re controlling the pace of this race.
But they’ve got company. Outlanders matched them step for step, also notching 133 this round, bringing their total to 267, just two points off the lead. These two squads are in a league of their own right now, trading punches without blinking.
Three Players are holding firm in third, now at 221. They haven’t had a breakout round yet, but their consistency is paying off. That kind of quiet strength could prove dangerous as we head into the second half of qualifiers.
Wolfpack made a strong push this week and now sit at 217. They’re hanging around the top, keeping things aggressive without going over the edge. Expect them to be a major factor going forward.
Copacabana (212), GRRRR (208), and The Suited Aces (204) are all within striking distance of the top five. These teams each bring a different style to the table, Copacabana plays big swings, GRRRR is all grind, and Suited Aces are cool under pressure.
There’s a three-way logjam at 203, with Le Facteur de Bière, Magical Madness, and Fame and Fortune all locked in a battle for position. It’s the kind of middle-pack drama that turns into late-round chaos. Don’t sleep on any of them.
Just outside the top ten, 3 AMIGOS, Warrior Queens, and Bingo Killers are all close enough to make a serious move. And with two more qualifiers to go, even teams further down still have a shot if they catch fire.
What’s clear now: the margin for error is shrinking. With 54 teams in play and only 24 spots, every point matters more than the last.
We’re halfway home. The leaders are setting a blistering pace, but the pack is closing in.
Round 3 is going to be a blast, good luck all
